Founded in the fall of 2006, the Calgary Lowriders were formed as a way for dachshunds to socialize with other dachshunds. At the first meeting (in our living room) we had 5 dogs. Our biggest meetup to date, the 2009 Wiener-PawLooza, had well over 140 dogs, and not every club member was there.

We meet up biweekly during the spring-fall, weather permitting, and during the winter we try to meet up once a month. All dachsies are welcome to come to our events, and our members include every color and pattern of the breed. Non purebreds are welcome, but we would ask that only dachshund, or dachshund mixes attend our winter meetups.
Currently there are no membership dues, although we charge a small fee of $5 for winter meetups, to cover the facility rental.
Please tell all your friends with dachsies to come on out, as we look forward to seeing you.

Where are your bi-monthly meetings, time, dates, etc. Who is the contact person’s name and phone # as I am using my daughters internet and e-mail and it would be easier for me to contact you through phone.
