Hello everyone!

One of our members, Darlene, is currently fostering a dachshund in need of a forever home in Calgary. Here is a description of Frank....

Hello, my name is Frank. I am a long haired Dachshund. I am looking for my ‘Forever Home’.

I am ten years old, but you would never know it, I am spry and playful & have lots of years left in me. I love to play
catch, I mean I catch and tease you with whatever I catch. I especially like it when there are two balls that I can trade.
That way I can chase the ball forever and ever or until you don’t want to throw it anymore.

I am not demanding but get pretty pumped when someone says the W-A-L-K word. I have lots of fur on my toes so I
don’t mind going out in winter and love playing in the snow.

I like to sleep through the night on my own bed, until the alarm clock goes off that is. Then I get up and say good
morning with lots of tail wagging.

I don’t mind other dogs all that much but I do get a little protective when I am meeting a new dog. I have a foster sister
right now that I am really polite with but I still have issues with sharing chewies.

If you are looking for a loyal friend that is already trained in the finer points of being a good companion I am definitely
your man.

I will take you for walks as often as you want. I would love to go for car rides with you, especially if they are for a walk
or to go to the pet store. I also don’t mind lying around watching TV or reading the paper (I don’t do the reading part
though, just the laying).

I am completely house trained and stay home alone without getting into things. I learn new rules quickly and would
love to learn new tricks (I do a mean rollover if you ever want to see, just ask). My most favorite thing is just being with
my friends, so I will go anywhere they go.

If you think you or someone you know would like me as a forever friend please call

I got to meet Frank a few days ago and I could not believe he is 10 years old! What a great little guy, so sweet and gentle. I don't think he'll have any problem finding a home, but hopefully we can find him one sooner than later and he can finally get settled into his Forever Home. If you would like to see a picture of Frank, you can always e-mail me at calgary_lowriders@yahoo.ca.

Thanks for your help everyone!!!
